What We Do

The ZWL is the preferred business partner of small and medium-sized companies which depend on state-of-the-art equipment for research and development, quality assurance and damage analysis, but who generally do not want to burden themselves with the expenses involved in operating such costly analysis instruments. It is our mission to provide these companies with the cutting-edge technology they require.

We refer to our company as a “Centre” because it is ideally situated in the city of Lauf an der Pegnitz in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Area of Southern Germany in the midst of a multitude of varied medium-sized businesses. Lauf and its environs is among the most advanced regions in Germany in the field of technical ceramics.

The ZWL cooperates with a wide range of institutions. Our major partner is the Department of Materials Science at the Ohm University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg.

Our success also lies in the close cooperation with various other departments at the Ohm University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg including the Department of Process Engineering, the Department of Telecommunication and Precision Engineering as well as the POF (polymeric optic fibres) Application Centre. We also cooperate with the Department of Mineralogy at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
